You can reach Morzine either by plane, by train or by car / bus transfer. Here are some basics of getting to and around Morzines.
Getting in
By plane
There are 3 major airports that serve the Haute-Savoie region, but the closest one is Geneva Cointrin International Airport (IATA: GVA), at about 65 km.
- Transfer by car to Morzine usually takes about an hour in good traffic conditions.
- Other ways of getting to Morzine from Geneva Airport include scheduled buses, shared shuttle and taxis.
- A one-way trip with Aeroski bus costs 33.50€, whereas a round-trip is 55.50€ and journey time is one hour and a half.
The other 2 airport choices are Lyon Saint-Éxupery International Airport (IATA: LYS) and Grenoble Isère Airport (IATA: GNB).
By train
- Gares de Cluses is located at 28 km from Morzine, and Thonon-les-Bains at about 33 km.
- There are TGV links from Paris (5h), Lille, Nantes, Brest, Rennes, Rouen and Cherbourg as well as regular bus transfers to Morzine from any of the two train stations.
By car
Morzine is situated 600 km from Paris, 800 km from Lille and only about 200 km from Lyon. The closest highway exit is Cluses – A40.

- Le Petit Train – leaves from the bottom of the Super Morzine gondola ski-lift and runs every 20 minutes during season between 8.45 a.m. – 12.15 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.
