Morzine-Avoriaz is divided into two main ski regions, equally appealing to all tourists in the area. Moreover, in summer the surroundings are an excellent place for mountain biking.
Ski regions
- Morzine – Les Gets
Info: You can easily access this area right from the village center and it features 110 km of slopes in all. There are 48 ski lifts, comprising 2 cable cars, 3 buble cars, 18 ski tows and 22 chair lifts. The 66 pistes are spread over 4 sectors:
- Nyon
- Le Pléney
- Le Mont Chéry
- Les Chavannes
Ski lift costs: half a day – adult 21.20€ and child 16.70€; one day – adult 24.60€ and child 22€; two days – adult 51.70€ and child 39.40€ and so on; one week – adult 156.50€ and child 118.20€. There are special prices for weekends: Saturday – adult/child 20€ and the whole weekend – adult/child 36€.
- Avoriaz
Info: It can be accessed from Morzine village by bubble car (Super Morzine) and it has 70 km of slopes with an altitude ranging between 1000 m and 2350 m.
Ski lift costs: half a day – adult 25.50€ and child 18€; one day – adult 32€ and child 21.50€; two days – adult 58€ and child 40€. Special prices for weekends are slightly higher than for Morzine – Les Gets, specifically: Saturday – adult/child 21€ and the whole weekend – adult/child 38€.
